The Website provides information about GoInspect and our building inspection services and may allow you to:

  • obtain an online quote;

  • request or book an inspection;

  • submit contact or project information;

  • contact GoInspect.

Inspection services

These Terms of Use primarily govern your use of the Website.

Any building inspection or other professional service provided by GoInspect may also be subject to the applicable quote, booking confirmation, agreed scope of inspection, report conditions or other terms provided in connection with that service.

Information provided on the Website is general information only and does not replace an inspection of a particular property or professional advice specific to your circumstances.

Online quotes and pricing

GoInspect provides an online quote calculator that allows customers to obtain a price based on information including the property type, property size and location.

Prices generated by the calculator are based on the information entered by the customer.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate.

If the property details provided are incorrect, incomplete or materially different from the property presented for inspection, or if the requested scope of work changes, we may revise the quoted price before proceeding with the inspection.

Online quotes are also subject to inspector availability and our ability to access and inspect the property.

Additional services, including services such as drone roof inspections or re-inspections, may attract an additional fee.

Bookings

Submitting a booking request through the Website does not guarantee that an inspection can be completed on the requested date.

Bookings are subject to inspector availability, property location, site access and confirmation by GoInspect.

Where a property remains under the control of a builder, the customer is responsible for ensuring that appropriate permission and access can be provided for the inspection.

We may communicate directly with the builder, site supervisor, buyers agent or other nominated contact where their details have been supplied to us for the purpose of arranging the inspection.

Website information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on the Website is accurate and current.

Building legislation, standards, tolerances, regulatory guidance and industry requirements may change from time to time.

Information provided on the Website is therefore general in nature and should not be relied upon as legal, engineering or other specialist professional advice.

Where appropriate, customers should obtain advice relevant to their individual circumstances.

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, including government agencies, builders, suppliers, social media platforms and other external services.

GoInspect reports and materials

Inspection reports, photographs, defect descriptions and other materials prepared by GoInspect may be subject to separate terms relating to their use and distribution.

Customers may generally provide their inspection report to relevant parties involved with their property, including their builder, site supervisor, buyers agent, solicitor or other professional adviser, for the purposes for which the report was prepared.

Unless otherwise agreed, GoInspect reports and report content must not be reproduced, resold or commercially distributed for unrelated purposes without our permission.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

Where GoInspect supplies services to a consumer, those services may be subject to statutory consumer guarantees, including requirements that services be provided with due care and skill and be fit for an applicable disclosed purpose.

Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, Website content is provided for general information purposes and without any guarantee that all information will be complete, current or suitable for every circumstance.

We do not guarantee that:

  • the Website will always be available or uninterrupted;

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify GoInspect against loss, damage, liability or reasonable costs arising directly from your unlawful use of the Website, your material breach of these Terms of Use or your infringement of another person’s intellectual property or other legal rights.

This indemnity does not apply to the extent that the loss or damage was caused or contributed to by GoInspect.
